FRIDAY-SUNDAY, 6/21-23,2019: The free Arts and Acts Festival 2019 will be the largest in its 10-year history when it returns to historic downtown. This year’s festival will feature more than 130 local and national artists and vendors over the weekend of arts, crafts, theatre, literature, music, food and more. With many restaurants, shops, and landmarks along the festival path, visitors will also find an abundance of neighborhood venues to check out in between viewing the vast display of arts. SATURDAY, 6/15/2019: Pianist Fernando Ortega, best known for his unique interpretations of traditional hymns and songs like “Give Me Jesus” and “Be Thou My Vision”, is a master songwriter, crafting passion and personal experience into his work. This special concert, presented by St. Joseph Mercy Livingston, at the BCPA is a joint venture between 2 Stones Events and the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce. WEDNESDAY, 6/12/2019: The Cuban jazz band Aguanko kicks off the 2019 Jazz @ The AMP series — presented by Lake Trust Credit Union — at Brighton’s Amphitheater on Mill Pond. The Dance Project gives free swing lessons at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7. Each concert includes a food drive for Gleaners. Bring a non-perishable food item (JUNE & AUGUST — tuna fish, canned chicken or salmon; JULY & SEPT. — canned fruit in light syrup) and be entered to win a $75 gift certificate of your choice from one of our fine supporting restaurants: Bourbons, Brewery Becker, Brighton Bar & Grill, Brighton Coffeehouse & Theater, Buon Gusto, Stillwater and Ciao Amici’s.
